Sports are an imperative part of the university life as they make a significant contribution to the all-round harmonious development of the students. Virtual University Sialkot Campus regularly organize sports activities for our students. This year our colorful sports gala event was held on 8th December, 2022 at VIP ground. It was a cool sunny morning. Buses were arranged for female students to ease the movement between campus and ground.

Sports gala was aimed to let the students discover their strengths through sports and learn important life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship. On this special day CEO Sohal Amir Khan graced the occasion with his presence. Event was formally inaugurated with national anthem. There was a gathering of almost 400-500 people including; Students, Event Organizers and Staff members. All the students and instructors were very energetic that day; enthusiasm could be easily seen in their eyes.

Campus faculty along with volunteer’s team organized many different games for students. Students participated enthusiastically in various games. Females activities included Spoon Race, Water straw competition, Tug of War, Goal Gappa competition, Cold drink competition, Needle competition, Arm Wrestling, Mehndi Competition and Musical chairs. Sports for boys included Cricket, Relay Race, 400 meters, Sprint Race, Sack Race Tug of War, Arm wrestling, Balloon competition, Water Straw Competition and Push-Up Competition.

Cricket was the most interesting event of the day. 6 teams of VU Sialkot Campuses participated to won the title of “Fall 2022 Cricket Champion". Final match was played between team Majboor 11 and Fankaar 11. Both the teams were very good but it was the Majboor 11’s day as they won the title of Champions. Besides the games, Dancing and singing added to the enjoyment. Light delicious lunch was also served.

Event was concluded with the awards’ distribution ceremony. Trophies and shields were awarded to the winning & runners-up cricket teams and also winners of different games were awarded shields. To applaud and celebrate the success of one of our student Mr. Moiz Shahid, CEO awarded him CCI souvenir and appreciation letter. He participated in international Bodybuilding competition arranged by WFF (World Fitness Federation) in 2022 and won the Silver Medal in junior Mr. Universe competition. CEO also appreciated all the participants and awarded certificated to the event organizers for their wonderful arrangements.
